CCTV stands for closed-circuit television, which means that the camera feeds are not accessible to the public. Instead, CCTV cameras feed directly into a monitoring station or computer, or they can be set up to feed into a mobile app on your phone.
If you’re interested in CCTV cameras, the first thing you’ll need to figure out is what kind of system you want: wired or wireless.
Wired systems have monitors and recording devices that have cables hooked up to them, while wireless systems use Wi-Fi connections to send images back and forth between your monitoring station and either a computer or mobile device.
